China Compulsory Certification

International certification

China Compulsory Certification (CCC) is a product certification system formulated and implemented in China. According to the requirements of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China, the products listed in the compulsory product certification catalogue shall not be imported, sold out of the factory or used in business service sites without obtaining certificates or applying certification marks as required.

CCC compulsory certification covers products related to human health and safety, animal and plant life and health, environmental protection and public safety. Compulsory product certification only recognizes the CB certificate in the standard catalogue of China's accession to the IECEE-CB system. In addition, products specially processed for export according to the foreign trade contract may not apply for CCC certification, but the remaining products that cannot be exported must obtain CCC certification before they can be sold out of the factory. Products that require CCC certification under agreements with foreign governments must be CCC certified.

Certification process

CNCA has issued a series of announcements to change and improve the compulsory product certification catalogue and implementation requirements. At present, there are three types of compulsory certification in China: General mandatory certification, mandatory certification self declaration procedure A, mandatory certification self declaration procedure B. The specific certification process is as follows:

General mandatory certification

Submit application

Initial factory inspection

Supervision after approval and certification
CCC mark shall be applied after evaluation and approval of certification results, and the certificate shall be valid for 5 years

Self declaration procedure

Submit application

Self inspection of factory quality assurance capability and establishment of technical documents (to be kept for 10 years for future reference)
Self declaration
Submission of compliance information and signing of self declaration
Post market supervision
Apply CCC mark, market supervision after certification, and the certification is valid for 10 years
